2. Overview
- This website sets no cookies and stores no information on your device.
- There are no web analytics or tracking tools and no advertising services.
- There is no embedded third-party content, such as maps, videos or social media modules.
- Fonts, images and scripts are served through our host from this domain. Loading a page makes no requests to any further providers.
For this reason the website does not show a cookie banner.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by: Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA.
When you open the website, the server processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, page requested, amount of data transferred, referrer, and browser and operating system. This serves to deliver the website and keep it secure. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in secure and stable operation.
Netlify does not state a fixed retention period for these log files in its privacy statement. According to Netlify, they are kept for a period consistent with the purpose of collection.
4. Contact form and quote request
When you use one of our forms, we process your details in order to handle your request:
- Contact form: name, company (optional), email, phone (optional), subject, message.
- Quote request: customer type, name, company (if applicable), email, telephone, product category, description, quantity (optional).
The details are not stored in a database on the website. The server sends them by email to our inbox, info@rhino-filt.com.
The legal bases are your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time with effect for the future, and, for requests relating to contracts, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
5. Email delivery and email communication
To send form data and for our inbox we use: Zoho Corporation B.V., NL (Zoho Mail, mail.zoho.eu).
If you contact us directly by email or phone, we process the data you provide in order to deal with your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
6. Security and spam protection
The connection to this website is encrypted using TLS. To protect against automated submissions, the form uses a hidden field, a signed time token and a limit on requests per IP address. For this purpose the IP address is held only briefly in the server's memory and is not stored permanently. No third-party services are used for this. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
7. Retention
We delete requests once they have been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations apply, for example under commercial and tax law.
8. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Recipients are the technical service providers named above, insofar as they act on our behalf. Our host, Netlify, Inc., is based in the USA. Data may be transferred there; your form details are also processed on Netlify servers in the USA on their way to our inbox. Netlify states that it participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The transfer is based on the European Commission's adequacy decision on that framework.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (Art. 21). You can withdraw consent at any time (Art. 7(3)). To do so, write to us at info@rhino-filt.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
10. Whether you must provide data
You can use the website without providing any data. To handle a request we need the details marked as required.
Further details are in the legal notice.
